Consider Becoming a
"Shelf Elf":
Each day, a dedicated corps
of volunteers - affectionately known as "shelf elves" -
complements and supplements the efforts of the Media Center's
staff. These wonderful parent volunteers commit to helping in
the Media Center on a regular basis throughout the school year,
often in conjunction with their child's scheduled Media special.
Media volunteers greatly
enhance the service and programs of the Media Center: working at
the circulation desk, shelving books, assisting students at the
computers and helping with special projects. Some volunteers are
able to help on a weekly basis, while others serve in a rotation
with other volunteers.
Individuals wishing to
become a Media Center volunteer are invited to complete, and
submit to the media specialist, a brief
volunteer form
indicating their interest and availability.
