Activities Record of Work Completed Samples of Student Work

Purpose: Focusing on descriptive word choices, you will choose three activities to complete in order to show your understanding of description in your reading and writing experiences.

Tasks to Complete:

  • Choose three activities to complete
  • Assign your due dates to match the three activities
  • Log your completed work DAILY with homework and adjustments that must be met
  • Each day, you will have time to work on your activities, silently read, or work in a small teacher-led skill group
  • Turn in your work on the assigned due dates to receive maximum credit
  • All work will be kept in students’ "in-class" binders unless materials are taken home to finish

Due Dates:

  • Activity One: February 15, 2008: _______________________

  • Activity Three: March 3, 2008: _________________________

Grading: Each "activity" will be scored on the criteria sheet with the following five-point scale:

  1. You have gone above and beyond the requirements and expectations for this product. You have extended learning beyond the assignment’s requirements, show higher level thinking and/or creativity and a unique approach to the task.
  1. Your product/performance is completed and done well
  1. Your product/performance needs minor corrections, changes, or additions, but for the most part, it is satisfactory
  1. Your product/performance needs more work, additional elements or more thought
  1. You attempted the project performance and turned something in, but it falls far short of expected quality.

 

I have reviewed this packet with expectations for my child’s work. I am aware of the due dates, assignments, and grading procedures.
