Research a topic of your choice.  Complete an Inspiration Concept Web showing the essential characteristics of your topic.

Write and perform a song about a topic of your choice using description and adjectives to explain/describe the one topic.

Create a comic strip with pictures, colors, and dialogue to describe/explain characters of your choice.

Create a slide show or a PowerPoint presentation of pictures or photographs to describe/explain a topic of your choice.

Choose a topic of your choice and write a descriptive expository essay about that topic. Be sure to turn in prewriting, drafts, and a final copy.

Choose a descriptive passage from your current Independent Reading Novel.  Create a diorama showing the scene and label the diorama accordingly.

Create a restaurant menu using descriptive and sensory language.  Use pictures, adjectives, and sensory language to explain your menu.

Write a poem showing description for a topic of your choice.  Your poem should have a central idea, a title, and descriptive words to create a picture in the reader’s mind. 

9.

Create a play based on the plot of your Independent Reading Novel.  Your play should include main characters, the setting, the theme, and the plot of the novel.
