Student Work will be posted once it is assessed.

Group Presentations

Task:  Your group will be teaching the class about a topic related to the time period of "To Kill A Mockingbird".  There are links to websites with relevant information on my website.  Your group is responsible for the content on all of the websites in your assigned topic.  (Maybe a group quiz??)  As a group, you need to decide how you will present your information to the class.  You will have 7 to 10 minutes for a presentation.  Though we only have 4 days in the computer lab, I am expecting that presentations will be polished and that you will be knowledgeable on your assigned topics.

Topics:

1.      Harper Lee (author of TKAM)

2.      Stock market crash of 1929

3.      Great Depression

4.      Race relations during the Great Depression

5.      The Dust Bowl

6.      The end of the Great Depression

How you will be assessed:  (developed from your ideas that we discussed in class)

Individual Grades:

  • How you present your part.
  • Staying on task in the group and how well you get along with your group
  • Your notes:  did you participate equally
  • You give equal effort to the group as the rest of the group shows.

Group Grades:

  • Information:   Relevant information we can understand that is true and accurate.
  • Creativity:  Present your information in a creative way that is relevant to the task.
  • Presentation:  Presentation is polished and professional (no typos, any visuals are well-laid out, rehearsed parts, clear speaking, relevant handouts, if you choose)
  • Cooperation:  The group works together to complete the task.
  • Works cited:  Use the program in Projects on the HKMS website to create a works cited page for the websites your group used.  Remember to put them in alphabetical order.
