 I.                     THE INTRODUCTION SHOULD INCLUDE:

 A.     Your Roman name (see list)

B.     Declare in what time period you are living  (Republic or Empire)

C.    Your  occupation (if you are a woman or a child, declare what your father or husband does for a living)

 II.                   YOUR RESEARCH SHOULD INCLUDE INFORMATION ON THE FOLLOWING: 

  1. Describe what is an average day is like from the time you get up until you go to bed?

  2. What kind of clothing do you wear?

  • Include foods that might be commonly eaten for regular meals.
  1. What kind of activities do you do during the course of a regular day?

  2. What kind of a place do you live in?  Are you wealthy, middle class or poor?

  3. How do you take care of your health/hygiene?

  4. Describe one custom from your life to observe a passage (birth, growing up, marriage, death)

  5. Describe one celebration that you observe.  It could be religious or public.

  6. What do you eat at this celebration?  Do you wear anything special?

  7. What do you do in your leisure time?  (games, toys, recreational activities)

  8. Is there a special god/goddess in your life?  Identify the god/goddess and explain why.

 III.                  CONCLUSION – Answer the following question: From your study of Ancient Rome, what did you find most interesting and why?

 DEADLINES:

 1.      Parent signature due :  Thursday, May 3rd

2.      Commit to your choice of Roman character and research two facts from the HKMS Web site links or other search engine: Friday, May 4th  

3.      Note taking guide due: Friday, 11th  

4.      Works Cited page (format in Student Writing Tools) due: Thursday, May 17th

5.      Presentation date: the week of May 21stThere will be about four presentations a day!
