INTERNET SAFETY


 

The goal of this unit is to:
  • correctly fill out an Information Sheet with the correct personal information
  • create a list of descriptors for the Internet
  • discuss the information to be shared, including how much information is given in a screenname
  • create a class web, using Inspiration, to describe a victim
  • create a class web, using Inspiration, to describe what a predator looks like and the type of person he or she is seeking
  • discuss ways personal computers may be harmed
  • provide a vehicle for understanding the impact of cyberbulling through the iSAFE DVD
  • compare the effects of predators and cyberbullies on the victim

  • create a full class Powerpoint where each student will be responsible for 2 slides, including, but not limited to:
    • design elements (transitions, animations, backgrounds, fonts)
    • downloading images
  • present the Powerpoint to the class and teach Internet Safety
